WITP Functions
Training and strategic projects to identify and bridge policymaking gaps
New and emerging technologies, like Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, 3D Printing etc., can play a transformative role in peoples’ lives. Governments that learn to effectively harness such technologies can effect a dramatic improvement in the delivery of public services, strengthening governance, and making better-informed decisions. Also, citizens can be empowered to provide real-time feedback on service delivery gaps.

Strategic Projects
WITP uses the knowledge and insights gained on emerging technologies to run Proof of Concept (PoC) or Pilot for govt. institutions and bodies.
WITP is currently working with two Central Government ministries. These project objectives are:

Technology & Policy
WITP aims to improve the delivery of the public services, drafting policies and measurement of the impact of the policies. The objective is to influence policies that will improve public service delivery through the implementation and application of key emerging technologies.
One of the key pillars of WITP is the tech-centric policy review and governance that reviews, researches, assesses, and generates papers on the technology policy of the Government of India. The team analyses policy issues of various ministries related to technology or which have a technology component to identify policy gaps and suggest measures to bridge these gaps.
Research topics range from:
- Data security
- Data storage and sharing
- Adoption of new age technology by governments
- AI/ML/Blockchain/3-D Printing etc
- Democratization of technology and data
- Data Strategy, etc.
